Autumn Trends 2021
Well, after the rubbish excuse of a “summer” we’ve just experienced, Team Twiin are well and truly ready for Autumn outfits. Since we’ve officially made it into Autumn, it’s time to hang up the sandals and pull out the knits.

If you’re struggling to plan those Autumnal outfits, no stress. We’ve done all the leg work for you and put together the hottest Autumn 2021 trends and highlighted some key pieces from our collections for you to start styling those autumnal looks.

Knit Pants
If you’re still struggling with dressing in denim after the year we’ve had (where, let’s be honest, we’ve learnt comfort is more important than anything!) then we have some amazing news for you. This Autumn 2021, knit pants are the hottest trend in fashion right now. As comfortable as your joggers and as versatile as your previously trusty denim. Add a ribbed texture to instantly elevate your knitwear and spot it from looking like your average loungewear. Get ready to live your coziest life and pair back under oversized T-shirts and sweatshirts for the ultimate casual-cool look that’ll carry you through the season.

Saturated colours
It’s time for neturals to take a step back, as bold, saturated shades are about to take centre stage as we’re all looking for a dose of fun to inject into our wardrobes! We’d never bash those neutral wardrobe staples, but it’s time to make some space for some vibrant pieces. Whilst there isn’t one specific shade that’s trending, take your pick from the rainbow of colours from tangerine to violet - you’re sure to find a shade that will spark some joy into those A/W looks.

Dreamt up by fashion forecaster @thealgorhythm, after she noted the growth of Y2K inspired cut-outs, subversive basics encompasses the idea of basics that rebel against the norm to the point of losing their utility. Think pants with hipbone cutouts, mesh turtlenecks and buttonless cardigan tops. The most accessible feature of this trend are carefully crafted cut-outs; body conscious and positive, evoking a look that's understatedly sexy.
You either love them or hate them, but however you feel there’s no denying the 1980s-style shoulder pad has well and truly made a comeback. Sport shoulder pads with a contemporary style and elegance by considering your entire silhouette; balance an oversized blazer or sweatshirt with leggings or a fitted skirt, creating an inverted triangle. If you’re still a little unsure, reach for a neutral-toned piece with a classic pattern for a timeless look.
Summer prints have been everywhere this year, and they’re not slowing down into the colder months! For Autumn 2021 expect retro-inspired signature florals, paisley and larger-than-live leopard to name a few! Don’t be afraid to make a statement and add a playful printed piece to your A/W wardrobe.

Brown Shades
When Vogue France tells you “brown is the new black” you listen. For Autumn 2021 the classic all black silhouette is being swapped out for warm, chocolate shades, giving us total fall foliage feelings.
