Walking the red carpet at retro, modern @bevhillshotel 🌴 From back-of-the-napkin deals to late nights in the secluded bungalows, the Beverly Hills Hotel has for over 100 years been both proving ground and playground for Hollywood’s elite (and naturally, I did sight Ashton Kutcher during lunch at the Polo Lounge!). Thanks Beverly Hills Hotel for a lovely afternoon ❤️
Why is LA your favourite city in California?
Tacos, sunshine and positive vibes (to name a few)
What does LA have to offer that other Cali cities don’t?
The incredible diversity. You can experience every type of cuisine, activity, music and culture of the many communities that reside in LA.
As a coastal city, LA also has a variety of outdoor options - yup, you can actually snowboard and go to the beach on the same day!
What's your favourite restaurant/bar in LA?
Los Angeles is the most amazing place to eat in America, thanks to the range of international cuisines and some of the most talented chefs in the world.
Some of my favourites:
El Chato for Mexican Truck Tacos
Mastro’s for steak
Din Tai Fung for Taiwanese
Chengdu Taste for Szechuan
Kagaya for Japanese
Soon Won Galbi for Korean BBQ
Pa Ord for Thai
Bestia for Italian
Matsuhisa for sushi
Gracias Madre for vegan
What's your favourite concept store in LA?
Gentle Monster, Nike and Louis Vuitton have also transformed some amazing spaces recently.
What's your favourite district of LA?
One of my favourite districts is Santa Monica, since it’s part city and part beach town - you get the best of both worlds.
How is LA similar to London?
They both are multi-cultural meccas.
How is LA different to London?
Los Angeles weather wins by far!
How do you think LA fashion has impacted California and the rest of the world?
Just like our attitude, our fashion is also casual and laid-back… but make it fashion! And because of the constant sunshine, it’s a prerequisite to sport sunglasses, which has inspired others to add the effortlessly chic accessory.
Name one non-touristy landmark you'd recommend to visit when in LA.
During the summer, Cinespia has outdoor movie screenings at Hollywood Forever Cemetery, where some of the most famous stars in the history of Old Hollywood lay.
Everyone brings food and drinks for a picnic to enjoy a movie as the sun dips into the night.
