Our best summer dresses20th May 2020
If you’re anything like us you’ll have been living in loungewear for the past..94081 days in lockdown. Can we get a time check on that? Not sure if our timekeeping has been accurate recently.... Anyway, studies show that taking a moment to get dressed up in the morning can boost your mood and productivity, so what a perfect excuse for dressing up at home! We’ve collated some of our favourite summer dresses that are comfortable enough to wear at home.
The Tatum Dress by Xirena is by far the easiest shape we have in stock currently. A loose, flowy shape it features adjustable straps and a gorgeous pattern made from contrasting bright florals. This is the epitome of a casual summer dress for ultimate comfort.
So many of our customers ask for easy, breezy maxi dresses so we came through with the Millie Dress by Staud. It covers the top portion of the arm in a loose but structured sleeve, the soft tailoring of this piece makes it a great option for work (or work zoom calls) but the green colour keeps it modern and fresh; effortless dressing avoiding that stale office wear vibe. It’s made from recycled tissue nylon so not only is it stylish but good for the environment!
If maxi isn’t really your thing, Staud also offers the awesome statement Carolina Dress. This full green paisley print is the perfect 1970s throwback, which is totally on trend for S/S 2020. Those ¾ length puff sleeves and optional waist tie are a match made in comfortable-but-flattering heaven!
If you’re more of a Miranda and florals for Spring aren’t groundbreaking enough for you then we have the perfect printed dress for you. The Jensen Dress from customer favourite brand Delfi Collective has a daring pink and red print perfect for any fashionista. The Jensen is constructed completely in the brand's signature pleats and features a wide transparent belt to give the effortless silhouette some shape.
We can’t forget the wardrobe staple that is a white sundress. Once again, Staud hits the nail on the head with the Swells Dress. With its scooped neckline, puffed sleeve and midi length, this dress flatters every body type. We’ve fallen for the corset style panelled bodice and the hint of period drama it evokes.
If you are into a more minimalist aesthetic, then The Line by K is the brand for you. The Kaito Dress is made from a low maintenance crinkled linen, no ironing necessary! Designed with a pleated neckline, open back and pearlised buttons, this dress will take you anywhere you need to go this summer. This is a staff favourite and they have been styling it with chunky black boots and the cropped army green Camden Jacket from Boyish for an effortless look.
